What You'll Do

As a Commercial Market Development leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and developing a revenue pipeline within the specific market segment we have targeted to grow. Your role will involve identifying revenue streams, developing relationships with new target customers and executing sales strategies by collaborating with operations, marketing and others to drive growth. It is also important to foster strong relationships across several disciplines among key clients in the segment. You will play a crucial role in achieving revenue targets and expanding market share within your assigned segment. 
 

  • Using industry contacts and experience within the segment, generate leads and position the company to win business and drive incremental revenue growth for the enterprise. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, outline actionable revenue generating opportunities and share with our operations teams for them to build solutions that meet or exceed their expectations.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets within the assigned market segment.
  • Identify key accounts and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers in the segment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and operations, to tailor solutions to meet segment-specific needs.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Analyze sales data and prepare reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market trends.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in sales processes and strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
  • Identify and qualify leads through cold calling, networking, and research.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential clients.
  • Conduct product/service presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Develop customized sales strategies and solutions to meet client needs..
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted sales campaigns.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to clients throughout the sales process.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
     

What You'll Have

  • Minimum 10+ business development and sales
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience and contacts within specified market
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendation in support of established goals
  • Proven experience in commercial sales or a related field.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Proven experience in commercial sales, with a track record of success in sales leadership roles.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales plans.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment.
  • Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late, when necessary, with little or no notice.
  • Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Mobility required within an office, warehouse, and construction site environments.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
