Our IT Project Manager II will coordinate all project personnel resources; determine all project activities, deadlines and milestones.  Manage and coordinate all administrative and logistical needs including meetings, agendas, minutes, tracking task completion, constraints and risks, communication plans, travel schedules, etc.  Effectively manage through complex issues and challenges by coordinating/tasking personnel and resources (resource-loading) as needed.  Document, track and mitigate and/or minimize all project risks and exposures regarding intended outcomes with results, timelines and costs.  Provide various levels of project status reporting as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Act as process and delivery owner for assigned projects and coordinate assigned personnel.
  • Monitor project progress and notify appropriate personnel when there is increased risk of missing delivery dates on tasks.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential issues or risks.
  • Provide transparency and real-time progress of all projects, both pending and in progress.
  • Communicate and ensure adherence to standard project methodologies and procedures.
  • Act as point of contact for all project intake information and documentation.
  • Support Director of IT Services as required, to present projects and their justification for approval and prioritization.
  • Provide status updates as necessary and as requested.
  • Direct Business Analysts (BA) in assigned tasks and provide SDLC guidance as necessary.
  • Work with Change Manager in development of training documents & user guides.
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance (QA) Lead to define best practices and strive for a goal of having zero defects escape into production environments.
  • Foster relationship between BSAs and QA to reduce requirements ambiguity and inaccurate assumptions during testing.
  • Support development and maintenance of templates, standards and processes used by PMs and BSAs.
  • Perform follow-ups with project requestors to gather feedback and other information that would be of value.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Travel as required (Approx. 10-15%)

Education, Skills, Experience Needed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years of project analysis and management
  • Experience with project management tools such as MS Project and Visio
  • Project Management certification or equivalent desired  
     

Working Environment

  • Work is typically performed in an office setting
  • Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
  • Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
  • Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds

Requirements

  • Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
  • Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
  • Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
