Our Senior Fleet Manager will oversee Linetec’s Fleet Services department.  Your responsibilities will include maintaining equipment standards, monitoring equipment availability and utilization, ensuring safe and compliant operation of equipment, and overseeing the repair, maintenance, and disposal of all Linetec vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Strategically lead the fleet organization utilizing available data to improve equipment reliability and the speed and quality of repairs
  • Utilize data to continually evaluate Linetec’s repair and preventative maintenance processes to continually improve Fleet performance
  • Continually improve policies and procedures relative to fleet management operations
  • Ensure Linetec has high quality, safe and well maintained equipment, including advanced technology, at the best value
  • Manage the Fleet Services emergency response in support of storm and other emergency recovery efforts
  • Develop specifications for trucks and equipment to facilitate acquisition by Centuri Supply Chain at best overall value
  • Continually evaluate the benefits of self-perform vs. outsourced maintenance and repairs
  • Interface with all departments to evaluate trends in equipment performance and recommend changes to improve safety, productivity and reliability
  • Work with Centuri Fleet and Supply Chain on departmental budget and development of internal equipment rates
  • Assure Fleet is in compliance with applicable State and Federal regulations
  • Plan, execute and monitor department budget to ensure compliance
  • Ensure Linetec’s fleet management information systems keep pace with our changing needs
  • Execute vehicle and equipment replacements per Centuri life cycles
  • Perform spot checks at work sites to ensure compliance with proper methods, guidelines, and procedures 
  • Delegate authority and responsibility to others as needed
  • Other duties as requested by leadership 
     
Education, Skills, Experience Needed
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Must possess 5-10 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence change
  • Good problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Experience using data to drive direction/decisions
Working Environment
  • Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment
  • Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
  • Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
  • Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
Requirements
  • Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
