The Safety Coordinator provides support with focus on auditing, analyzing, and double-checking information for accuracy, as well as assistance with interfacing with other members of the Safety, Quality, and Regulatory Compliance Team.

Responsibilities

• Provides accurate monthly safety reports and disseminates other pertinent safety information throughout the company.
• Reviews and maintains documentation associated with safety, safety policies and processes. Reviews Root Cause Analysis and Quality Reports for completeness and accuracy prior to submission to Safety & Quality leaders for final distribution to NPL leaders. 
• Ensures that deliverables associated with Safety are progressing, completed on time and maintain a high level of quality.
• Assists in planning and coordinating programs and meetings: NPL Safety Awards, Safety Manager Meetings, etc.
• Provides input to reporting Company safety performance to external stakeholders (ie – customers, ISNetworld and Browz, and industry benchmarking.)
• Provides some administrative support for the Safety Department – such as credit card processing, travel, and meeting logistics. Participates in the review and monitoring of budget statements using different internal applications.
• Analyzes and evaluates safety-related processes to streamline work-flow.
• Establishes and maintains department electronic filing systems and routes, files, and maintains periodical library.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Education, Skills, Experience Needed

• High school Diploma or GED
• 2-4 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of department practices and procedures.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.

Working Environment

• Must be able to read documents and use a computer
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods, walk to and from offices/sites (including ascending and descending stairs)

Requirements

• Occasional travel is required.
• Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards
• Pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
• Provide US work authorization documents
• In-state driver’s license with no more than 3 moving violations and no DUIs within a two year rolling period
• Satisfactory Criminal History Check
