As a Yard Hand / Parts Runner, you will serve as a vital logistics link between construction sites, vendors, and the company’s central shop or yard. Your primary responsibility is ensuring field crews have the necessary tools, materials, and equipment to maintain project schedules, while also maintaining a clean and organized base of operations.

What You'll Do

• Drive company vehicles to pick up parts, tools, equipment, and materials from vendors and deliver them to active job sites.
• Organizing inventory in the yard, maintaining cleanliness, and sometimes operating forklifts.
• Load and unload trucks and trailers, including securing loads properly for transport.
• Keeping company trucks and vehicles clean and organized, often using power washers.
• Assist with receiving, tracking, and staging inventory, as well as performing inventory counts and returning unused materials to vendors.
• Assist mechanics and foremen in moving heavy equipment, preparing job sites, and performing general labor tasks as required. 
• Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership

What You'll Have

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License
• Prior construction tools/material experience

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a typical warehouse environment and an outdoor construction yard
• Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
• Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
• Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 80 pounds
• Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Legal Stuff

• Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
• Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
• Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
