Our hybrid Accounting Supervisor - Internal Reporting, will oversee lease accounting to identify opportunities for improvement, increase efficiencies and create new processes, provide functional oversite of fixed assets and accruals, focusing on team development as someone first in line for Centuri's reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide functional accounting oversight over journal entry approval and financial reporting, activities include supervising staff and managing deadlines
  • Provide necessary support and guidance to the internal reporting staff to meet monthly reporting deadlines
  • Train, supervise and evaluate personnel in order to align appropriate resources to meet organizational needs (4-5 direct reports)
  • Perform preliminary analysis of monthly and quarterly close data for management, addressing any potential issues prior to distribution
  • Communicate and work collaboratively with other corporate departments and area admin/operations in order to play a key role in identifying ways to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Ability to problem solve independently or through collaborative efforts with various personnel
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests and inquires
  • Participate in special projects for Accounting and other Centuri management
  • Fulfill and promote overall Centuri policy, procedure, internal control, SOX and GAAP requirements

Education, Skills, Experience Needed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant and progressive work experience, including supervision of accounting personnel
  • SAP and/or Visual Lease experience is preferred
  • CPA, or proven CMA or CPA in progress, preferred
  • Strong computer proficiency, specifically in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptionally strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Must be a self-starting multi-tasker with the ability to accomplish all assignments timely, independently, and against aggressive deadlines, professional and personable, a skilled communicator, both written and oral, and a team player

Working Environment

  • Hybrid in office presence, required
  • Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment
  • Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
  • Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
  • Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds

Requirements
