The HRIS Analyst serves as a subject matter expert for union payroll administration and Ceridian Dayforce HRIS, supporting high volume, operations based workforces. This role ensures accurate payroll processing, contract compliance, system configuration integrity, and effective use of Dayforce payroll, timekeeping, and reporting functionality. The position acts as a functional lead for union payroll processes and Dayforce solutions, partnering closely with Operations, HR, Labor Relations, Finance, and IT to support payroll execution, compliance, audits, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Process and support accurate, timely payroll for unionized employee populations across multiple pay groups and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Interpret and apply union contract provisions, including wages, differentials, premiums, overtime, travel, per diem, and other special pay rules.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for complex payroll, timekeeping, and union compliance issues.
  • Act as a Dayforce subject matter expert for Payroll, Time & Attendance, and related modules, including configuration and troubleshooting of pay policies and union rule sets.
  • Support end‑to‑end payroll cycles, including pre‑pay validation, post‑pay audits, corrections, and system testing for updates and releases.
  • Provide functional leadership for operations payroll activities, partnering with HR, field leaders, and payroll partners to resolve discrepancies impacting employees.
  • Produce payroll, union compliance, and audit reports using Dayforce reporting tools and Excel, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Analyze payroll trends, error patterns, and compliance risks, recommending corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with HRIS, IT, Finance, Operations, and Labor Relations to support system enhancements, audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Have

  • Bachelors Degree in relevant field
  • 5+ years of HR business analysis related experience
  • Experience administering union payroll and interpreting collective bargaining agreements.
  • Knowledge of payroll and timekeeping practices in high‑volume, hourly, operations‑driven environments.
  • Hands‑on experience with Ceridian Dayforce HRIS, including Payroll, Time & Attendance, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of payroll compliance requirements, internal controls, and audit readiness.
  • Advanced skills in payroll configuration, troubleshooting, reporting, data validation, and reconciliation using Dayforce and Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts to HR, Operations, and field leadership.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment
