The Change Manager is responsible for ensuring that the impacts of new or upgraded projects (IT and/or Construction) are managed in an effective way to ensure delivery of the desired business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain change management & communications management processes, procedures, and guidelines that meet the needs of the business.
• Develop a structured change management implementation strategy so that there is consistency in adopting change for every employee, every project team, and every department.
• Create and distribute executive messages in support of project sponsors and change sponsors specific roles.
• Develop and deliver internal change management strategies to increase employee awareness and promote acceptance.
• Facilitate change impact assessment and training needs analysis. 
• Create specific change management plans with respect to training and orientation of employees.
• Works with stakeholders to identify the most expected and potential points of resistance to change and develop counter strategies to reduce the resistance.
• Works with Operations Managers to embed required changes in processes, procedures and practices to achieve change that delivers the planned benefits.
• Establish parameters to measure the early adoption, effective utilization, and proficiency to new change initiatives for individuals as well as departments.
• Monitor and identify deviations in performance from the change standards and implement strategies for corrective action to achieve full organizational adoption.
• Support the PMO in implementation and training of project management process into identified operational areas with the goal of standardization and consistency.
• Conceptualizes immediate and long-range needs of the company with respect to change management to support successful and efficient organizational change.  Must understand business objectives, financial drivers, and corporate systems as they relate to the corporation’s goals to ensure alignment.
• Contributes to a positive work environment that is viewed by talented employees as a place to develop and prepare for roles of greater responsibility.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
 

Education, Skills, Experience Needed

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent job experience
• 2+ combined years with increasing responsibilities in change management or communications management
• Good working knowledge of Project Management methodologies
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to details

Working Environment

• Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment
• Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
• Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
• Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
 

Requirements

• Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
