Our Senior Fleet Financial Analyst will collect and analyze fleet data, develop analytical tools to optimize our fleet, research equipment rates to optimally charge equipment to projects, perform life cycle cost analysis of our equipment assets, analyze best equipment financing options and evaluate of when to best retire and replace existing fleet assets.

  • Provide analysis on fleet related operational, financial, and regulatory data utilizing both internal and third party source information
  • Prepare reports and data to identify trends and support fleet related recommendations, process/policy improvements and decision making effectiveness
  • Assist with the development of fleet related presentations, budgets and forecasts, including maintenance, repair, fuel, asset utilization, and driver behavior
  • Analyze performance measurements to report on company goals and objectives
  • Engage with multiple business units and fleet related personnel to bring transparency to the process of creating and analyzing fleet related budgets and spend improvements
  • Collaborate to implement projects, complete tasks, and fulfill plans to ensure timely and efficient analysis, modeling, evaluation and reporting
  • Develop, design and implement fleet financial tools, statistical reporting, and KPI packages to management
  • Prepare financial analysis for equipment life cycle decisions relative to hourly rates, replacement periods and asset financing options
  • Monitor and analyze fleet related industry trends, departmental/company fleet related policies and practices, and other related activities and factors impacting departmental, area, and company performance
  • Analyze, develop, and maintain productivity measurements to simplify and/or improve fleet utilization
  • Logically integrate information from multiple resources and effectively communicates results to department management
  • Develop creative and innovative analytical solutions for problem solving
  • Demonstrate a high level of subject matter expertise in functional area to bridge business requirements and IT solutions
  • Other duties as requested by leadership

Education, Skills, Experience Needed

  • Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in the field of business, finance, or statistics or equivalent experience
  • 8+ year’s analyst experience
  • Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement Certification
  • Proficiency in working with SQL queries; advanced skill in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Knowledge of the fleet industry, fleet cost accounting and asset financing
  • Familiarity with GPS/Telematics platforms and Fleet Management Information Systems
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines 

Working Environment

  • Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment
  • Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
  • Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
  • Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
