What You'll Do

Payroll:​

  • Manage, coach and develop payroll team (6). This includes performance management, development of team as well as ensuring efficient daily operations. ​
  • Oversee end to end payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions and benefit administration.​
  • Main accurate employee records, including attendance, leaves and personal information.​
  • Review and update payroll related policies in response to changes in tax laws, employment standards or organizational needs, ensuring that company stays compliant.​
  • Oversees process of all new hire, terminations, promotions and other employee status changes in the payroll system to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.​
  • Monitor and resolve payroll discrepancies, investigating and resolving issues promptly and accurately. ​
  • Maintain confidentiality and data security standards for all payroll related information. ​
  • Assist with implementation and upgrades of HR Payroll system. ​
  • In collaboration with Director, stay abreast of legal and regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practice.​
  • Participate in cross-departmental committees or working groups contributing payroll expertise.​
  • Other related tasks as requested by leadership.​

  • Manage full-cycle benefit administration including liaison with third party service providers.​
  • Ensure employee benefit records in all applicable systems are accurate and in compliance with benefit plan rules, internal policy and applicable legislation.​
  • On an on-going basis, along with Director, recommend cost-effective ways of offering our employees a robust benefits package.​
  • Participate in payroll software system maintenance or implementation projects as it relates to benefits deductions and employer contributions.​
  • Recommend best practices for benefit programs and policies.​
  • In collaboration with Director, stay abreast of legal and regulatory changes (FMLA, State Sick Laws, 401k etc.)​
  • Oversee Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance and reporting.​
  • Assure compliance with federal HIPAA regulations.​
  • Other related tasks as requested by leadership.​

What You'll Have

  • 7+ years’ experience managing high-volume, multi-state weekly payroll and benefits in a public company, ensuring 100% compliance with federal and state regulations.​
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team with clarity and confidence, fostering collaboration and unity to drive shared goas and cohesive execution.​
  • Proven experience at process improvement – analyzing existing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing streamlined, automated solutions to increase productivity and reduce processing time.​
  • Experience conducting internal audits, resulting in zero compliance issues and implementation of improved internal controls.​
  • Experience reconciling payroll and benefits data to financial records with 100% accuracy, supporting quarterly and year-end financial reporting.​
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and payroll systems, enabling data analysis and process improvements to improve efficiency.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment
  • Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
  • Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
  • Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
