As a Senior Manager, Union and Trust Fund Payments and Audits, you will manage and actively participate in the day to day activities related to  processing payments required by collective bargaining agreements for over 4400 union employees across the United States.  You will evaluate and recommend improvements to the processes involved in making payments to nearly 300 funds each month.  Additionally, you will conduct regular audits and monitor over all compliance, working closely with the accounting team to manage union account reconciliations. Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all HR union data.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate and monitor daily activities of the Union Fringe team, providing oversight to ensure proper handling of union payments and weekly/monthly reporting. (Timely completion etc…)
  • Research account reconciliations.
  • Perform various union fringe account reviews, research inconsistencies, and prepare and distribute executive leadership reporting.
  • Implement best practices and improve productivity within team.
  • Liaison between Labor Relations, Payroll, Accounting and Area offices 
  • Assess current processes, recommend improvements and implements changes across both area offices and corporate.
  • Mentoring team to ensure a high level of knowledge is gained.
  • Assist in the coordination of disaster recovery plans for HR.
  • Maintain Sox controls.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 
  • Supervisory Responsibility for 5 non-exempt employees
  • Perform other duties as requested by leadership

What You'll Have

•  Knowledge of accounts payable and general ledger processes and reconciliations
•  Demonstrated understanding of how collective bargaining agreements, union wage rates, fringe benefits and trust funds work 
•  Ability to collaborate across all work groups

•  Analytical skills to interpret data and practically apply analytics to business needs
•  Written communication skills to compose reports, proposals, presentations, and work-related manuals in a professional manner
•  Verbal communication skills to communicate one-on-one or in large groups with customers, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
•  Ability to plan and schedule activities for both the short and long term, including regular review and coordination of activities required for implementation
•  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
•  Ability to work effectively with ambiguity. General internal policies, guidelines, and procedures are utilized
•  Ability to maintain confidentiality
•  Strong understanding of internal controls
•  Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or accounting.

Work Environment
