What You'll Do
- Partner with Executive Operations Leadership within US Gas Group to drive cultural change and continuous improvement through the development and execution of a comprehensive EHSQ management system.
- Partner with the corporate EHSQ function to ensure programs and services meet the needs of the US Gas Group.
- Assist in the delivery of an EHSQ training strategy for the US Gas Group that delivers high-quality, cost-effective training and leverages union offerings where applicable.
- Lead a safety organization of currently 86 total reports, including 3 direct and 83 indirect team members.
- Provide technical expertise, strategic leadership, and support to business units, departments, on regulatory compliance issues in EHSQ.
- Provide safety leadership representation supporting operations with customer and industry meetings and events.
- Ensure compliance with customer contractor management requirements.
- Monitor both leading and lagging safety goals, metrics, and develop corrective action plans and strategies.
- Stay informed and connected internally and externally on matters that may impact aspects of the EHSQ management system.
- Mentor and coach all EH&S professionals and create an inclusive environment.
- Participate in succession planning process for EHSQ professionals to build bench strength and support staffing needs.
- Exemplify expectations of professional development, continuous learning and education.
- Continuously assess safety knowledge and performance throughout all job families and participate in the evaluation process related to EH&S performance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
What You'll Have

Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, safety engineering, risk management, or a related field or equivalent professional experience
- 10+ years of progressive senior leadership experience in safety and quality, with a proven track record of driving safety culture improvements
- Proven experience managing and improving leading and lagging safety performance indicators
- EHS-related credentials, OSHA/OSH certifications, and/or active membership in recognized safety professional associations

Work Environment
- Work is typically performed in a regular office setting. Considerable time will be spent out in the field and on business travel (up to 50% of the time).
- Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary, with little or no notice
- Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
- Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
