We are seeking a Hydrovac Truck Operator to join our team in the Abilene, TX area. This is a very physical job that requires operating a hydrovac truck (vacuum excavator) to safely expose underground utilities using high-pressure water and a powerful vacuum system. The ideal candidate should have experience in excavation, hydro excavation, or vacuum truck operations and be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.

What You'll Do

• Operate a hydrovac truck to excavate around underground utilities safely
• Use high-pressure water to break up soil and vacuum debris into the truck
• Transport and dispose of excavated material appropriately
• Follow safety protocols and regulations to prevent damage to underground lines
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the truck and equipment
• Work in various weather conditions and job site environments
• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks daily

What You'll Have

• Must have a Class A  CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)
• Must be local to the Abilene, TX area
• Ability to perform heavy physical labor in outdoor environments
• Experience with vacuum trucks, hydro excavation, or construction-related work preferred
• Knowledge of safety procedures for underground utility work is a plus
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Work Environment

• Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
• All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
• Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling
• Work is performed within the “red zone” of heavy equipment
• Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Legal Stuff

• Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
• Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
• Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record is required
• Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
