What You'll Do

• Build, maintain, and repair energized multiphase distribution systems
• Work safely on energized poles, fixtures, and lines
• Assist the Foreman with job coordination and switching orders
• Perform field switching, grounding, and clearance orders following company and customer standards
• Complete all required safety and technical training
• Handle administrative and site documentation as needed
• Serve as a leader on your crew — modeling safety and professionalism
• Maintain all industry required qualifications
• Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership

What You'll Have

• High School Diploma or GED
• 4+ years of experience in the electrical powerline industry
• 3+ years as an Apprentice Lineman or equivalent
• Class A CDL with clean driving record
• Full understanding of line design, fuse coordination, switching, tagging, and grounding
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the job from start to finish
• Commitment to safety and quality on every task

Work Environment

• Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
• All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
• Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling
• Work is performed within the “red zone” of heavy equipment
• Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Legal Stuff

• Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
• Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
• Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
