What You'll Do

• Build, maintain, and repair energized multiphase distribution systems
• Safely perform line work on energized poles and fixtures using proper cover-up and hot stick techniques
• Frame transformer banks, rotate three-phase secondary/services, and troubleshoot overhead lines
• Read and interpret job prints and specifications
• Perform advanced rigging, tree trimming, and line repairs using rubber gloves and hot sticks
• Operate test equipment, perform cut-out/reclosure work, and assist with URD troubleshooting
• Follow all safety and performance standards while supporting crew operations
• Complete required training and contribute to a team-first safety culture
• Maintain all industry required qualifications
  Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership

What You'll Have

• High School Diploma or GED
• 4+ years of experience in the electrical powerline industry
• Class A CDL 
• Proven ability to work safely on energized lines and multiphase systems
• Understanding of basic electricity, hot stick use, and line repair methods
• Dedication to safety, teamwork, and doing the job right

Work Environment

• Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
• All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
• Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling
• Work is performed within the “red zone” of heavy equipment
• Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Legal Stuff

• Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
• Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
• Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
