Linetec Services is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our billing team. The ideal candidate will have a financial background with great attention to detail. The Billing and A/R Specialist will assume responsibility for billing out invoices along with assisting our operations team with weekly status reporting. The candidate will have familiarity with service and construction cost techniques.   • Verify and process daily billing submissions
  • Review and understand contracts
  • Support operations in tracking of projects status with billing
  • Post daily/weekly revenue into the reporting system
  • Comprehends costs including but not limited to time & materials, labor and overhead
  • Assist with collections to gather documents needed for invoice submission to the customer
  • Verify customer balance and assist in keeping them current
  • Perform month end close entries related to billing 
  • Maintain customer accounts by processing invoices and customer adjustments; and organize various job status, updates, and comments (daily)
  • Ensure a positive customer experience by exhibiting a helpful and team-oriented attitude towards customers and employees
  • Ensure proper approvals are received and attached for auditing purposes
  • Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership 

Education, Skills, Experience Needed

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of Billing experience required 
  • Experience in the power, industrial or construction service sector is a plus
  • Experience in collections, audit, and invoicing preferred
  • Familiarity with SAP, (ACIS, Open Invoice, CAMPS a Plus)
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel & Word (Pivot Tables & VLOOKUP a Plus)
  • Must be familiar with SOX Compliance
  • Ability to comprehend revenue and costs
  • Understanding of aging and unbilled reports
  • Strong analytical ability to gather and interpret information
  • Must work well in a team-orientated environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organized
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and take initiative
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task with little supervision

Working Environment

  • Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment
  • Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
  • Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
  • Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds


  • Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
