What You'll Do

• Construct, maintain, and repair underground electrical distribution and service facilities
• Install conduit, transformers, switches, and other underground system components
• Spice, terminate, and test underground cables according to specifications and safety standards
• Locate faults and performing troubleshooting and repairs on underground circuits and equipment
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment such as cable pullers, hydraulic presses, and testing instruments
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and work orders to ensure proper installation and system integrity
• Coordinate with crews and foremen to complete work safely and efficiently within project timelines
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Perform all duties in accordance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and industry standards
• Perform other tasks as requested by leadership 

What You'll Have

• High School Diploma or equivalent 
• Valid Drivers License - CDL A
• 6+ years of experience working on underground service work and distribution facilities.
• Proven ability to perform splicing, terminating, and installation of underground electrical systems
•  Working knowledge of electrical theory, safety practices, and underground construction standards
• Experience operating and maintaining underground tools, equipment, and testing devices
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, maps, and work orders
• String commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship
• Physical ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and perform manual labor tasks as needed

Work Environment

• Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
• All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
• Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling
• Work is performed within the “red zone” of heavy equipment
• Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Legal Stuff

• Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
• Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
• Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
