What You'll Do

• Conduct on-site inspections of utility power poles to assess condition and readiness for make-ready work.
• Accurately and timely collect and record field data using mobile devices and digital tools.
• Capture and upload high-quality photo documentation into inspection software.
• Evaluate pole attachments, clearances, and any compliance issues in accordance with utility standards.
• Use mobile apps and GIS-integrated forms for data reporting.
• Apply knowledge of safety codes such as the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC).
• Clearly communicate inspection findings and recommendations to supervisors and project managers.
• Travel to and from job sites safely, occasionally over long distances.
• Work independently in the field, walking and carrying equipment as needed
   

What You'll Have

• Proficient with computers, cameras, and mobile data collection tools.
• Familiarity with Microsoft programs (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions.
• Physically able to walk long distances while carrying necessary field equipment.

Work Environment

• Flexibility to work different schedules and stay late with little or no notice
• Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
• Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
