As a GPS Technician, you will conduct GPS data collection for natural gas infrastructure, ensuring accurate and up-to-date facility records. This role requires collaboration with locators and effective communication with the public regarding project updates.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct accurate GPS data collection of existing gas infrastructure to ensure up-to-date facility records
  •  Collaborate with locators to develop and execute work plans for designated areas
  • Serve as a liaison to the public, effectively communicating project updates and ensuring transparency on behalf of the client.
  • Load and unload equipment and materials
  • Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment
  • Maintain all industry required Operator Qualifications
  • Performs other related tasks as requested by leadership

What You'll Have

  • 1+ year experience collecting GPS data in the utility industry

Work Environment

  • Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
  • All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
  • Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling
  • Work is performed within the “red zone” of heavy equipment
  • Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Legal Stuff

  • Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
  • Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
  • Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
  • Join and maintain Union membership
