Reporting to and working closely with the Regional Fleet Manager, you would be managing on-going fleet maintenance and compliance initiatives for our Springfield, MA location. Processes for success are already in place. If you have mechanical, knowledge of DOT/FMCSA, computer ability with good communication skills, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

  • Ensure vehicle and equipment preventive maintenance programs are followed, timely approval and completion of service are being met
  • Communicate and work together with operation team to ensure vehicle and equipment needs are met to fulfill production needs
  • With support of Regional Manager, conduct Fleet Reviews, Internal Audits, Incident Investigations, Root Cause Analyses to identify process improvements
  • Travel 1-2 times/week to Berlin, CT office
    Perform other related duties as requested

Education, Skills, Experience Needed

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 1 or more years auto mechanic experience
  • Basic understanding of DOT/FMCSA compliance
  • Basic computer skills 
  • Skilled and thorough communicator at various levels
  • Possess a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence

Working Environment

  • Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment
  • Regular visits to construction sites requiring use of personal protective equipment with exposure to adverse conditions
  • Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
  • Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
  • Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds

Requirements

  • Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
  • Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
  • Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
