Our Utility Construction Project Manager coordinates the scheduling of crews and vendors around customer and municipality project needs.

• Develops, communicates, maintains and evaluates Training and development for Damage Prevention Techniques for locators.
• Responsible for implementation, monitoring and updates to internal Damage Prevention plans, best practices and techniques.
• Job packet completion including problem locate check sheet, QA/QC on one-call tickets, and attending complex ticket meetings when available.  
• Enhancements, education and verification of current and future federal, state, customer and CGA processes, procedures and best practices.
• Damage Prevention strategy (including goals and expectations) and establishes measurements for an effective compliance audit and field/record assessment program for company personnel.
• Maintains and Evaluates QA audit criteria and audit score card for Damage Prevention.
• Maintains the QA database, which contains assessment findings and on-demand reports of detailed QA activities, analyzes audit findings/trends, and recommends process improvements.
• Majority of time in field with evaluations, audits, QA/QC activities of current damage prevention techniques, practices and procedures.
• Damage investigation of all utility damages within the area, including initial internal reporting, customer reporting and root cause investigation lead. Corrective action assignment, monitoring and follow up. 
• Active participation in industry or customer committees.
• Provides technical guidance and communication as it relates to customer standards including maintaining the current customer standards.
• Oversees/supervises QA staff that conduct the QA assessments.
• Regularly interfaces and represents NPL with customer and State Damage Prevention department/councils/meetings.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science or related field preferred
• 2 years’ civil construction experience in the areas of utilities, earth work, concrete structures, and general site
• Ability to communicate with all levels of the Company, customers, and government agencies as appropriate
• Ability to stay organized, accurate, and consistent while managing multiple projects
• Ability to think clearly no matter the stress or difficulty of your circumstances
• Ability to prioritize and multitask proactively to meet deadlines
• Advanced mathematical skill to calculate and interpret data using percentages, ratios, averages, and medians
• Advanced computer skills with expert skill in Excel is required
• Ability to coordinate and supervise a group effort
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

• Work is performed in a 50% office and 50% field work at warehouse and construction sites
• Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
• Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
• Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds

• Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
