As a Safety Coordinator, you will provide support focused on auditing, analyzing, and double-checking information for accuracy.

What You'll Do

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure field operations comply with safety and quality policies, including OSHA, ATSSA, and local regulations.
  • Address safety, quality, and compliance issues in assigned areas.
  • Submit incident reports timely and maintain safety records.
  • Conduct internal audits and communicate findings to the Leadership Team.
  • Audit various crews (Overhead Electric, Underground Electric, Civil) and promote safety culture through engagement and demonstration of Core Values.

Training:

  • Assist with site-specific training and recommend additional training as needed.
  • Support management with training documentation.
  • Provide clear guidance and share best practices.
  • Engage in site meetings and participate in periodic training programs.

Auditing:

  • Conduct jobsite inspections to identify and correct unsafe practices or conditions.
  • Develop, enforce, and review the HSE program.
  • Perform safety audits, including fall protection gear and lock-out/tag-out procedures.

Reporting:

  • Communicate good catches, incidents, and job concerns effectively.
  • Manage employee incident/injury documentation and follow up, working closely with area safety professionals.
  • Assist in investigating incidents and injuries to identify causes and initiate corrective measures.

What You'll Have

  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year electric construction experience
  • BCSP certification (CHST, ASP, or CSP) and Osha 510 certification preferred

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment
  • Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
  • Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
  • Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
  • Occasional travel may be required

Legal Stuff

  • Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
  • Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
  • Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
  • Valid driver’s license with no more than 3 moving violations and no DUIs within a two year rolling period
  • Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary
  • Ability to travel within the state routinely and out of state occasionally
