NEUCO is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Specialist to join our team on a temporary-to-hire basis. This role provides an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your skills and potentially transition into a permanent position based on performance, attendance, and business needs.

 

The Data Entry Specialist plays a key role in supporting daily operations by ensuring the accurate, timely, and efficient processing of project and work-completion documentation. Working closely with field crews, foremen, supervisors, managers, and utility customers, this position is responsible for maintaining data integrity, tracking project records, supporting customer reporting requirements, facilitating project closeout activities, and helping ensure accurate and timely billing.

What You'll Do

  • Collect and organize completed work documentation from field crews, foremen, and supervisors.
  • Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with customer and company requirements.
  • Enter, update, and maintain project and operational data in company databases and systems.
  • Coordinate with field personnel to obtain missing information and resolve documentation discrepancies.
  • Prepare and submit completed work packages to utility customers within established deadlines.
  • Track the status of submitted work and maintain accurate, organized records.
  • Assist with project closeout documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Generate reports, spreadsheets, and other documentation to support operational and management needs.
  • Communicate professionally with internal teams and customer representatives regarding documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Provide administrative support to field crews and operations personnel.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by leadership

What You'll Have

  • Required:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Previous data entry, administrative, or office support experience.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
    • Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    Preferred:

    • Experience in the construction, utility, engineering, or related industries.
    • Familiarity with project documentation, work orders, and customer reporting requirements.
    • Experience working with databases or project management systems.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment
  • Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
  • Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
  • Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds

Legal Stuff
