Our Supervisor-Training & Compliance will help Design, develop and deliver technical, safety, Operator Qualification and regulatory training programs to provide employees with the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform their jobs in a safe and qualified manner.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and deliver technical training programs through a blended learning approach, (Classroom, virtual, CBT, hands-on etc.) to impart technical knowledge, skill and abilities to safely perform field tasks (e.g., plastic pipe joining, tapping, stopping, excavating etc.).  Adjust training delivery methods to ensure that NEUCO is training effectively in line with external requirements, operational priorities, and best practices. 
  • Train to and reinforce NEUCO expectations of full compliance with the Company’s and our Customers’ Construction, Operating Policies and Procedures, safety policies, applicable government codes and regulations.
  • Evaluate, modify and update existing training programs, materials, delivery methods and manuals to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with existing or revised operating standards, regulations, safety, environmental and contractual obligations.
  • Provide follow-up and remedial training as needed.
  • Collaborate with operations to identify training needs and deliver programs to ensure compliance with O&M Procedures and OQ Tasks.
  • Assist in generation/maintenance/ verification of records in the NGA Operator Qualification Database, Industrial Training Services (ITS) or equivalent.  Provide responses to internal customer requests for qualification records.

What You'll Have

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field preferred
•    5 years of experience in Gas Operations and/or Gas Training or equivalent education and experience
•    Previous experience supervising employees required
•    Class A CDL preferred
•    Hoisting and Backhoe Licenses preferred
•    Knowledge of regulatory requirements in relation to gas distribution and distribution system design
•    Knowledge of construction principles and safety standards
•    Knowledge of Company, Customer and State and Federal regulations pertaining to gas distribution
•    Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
•    Most possess leadership and coaching abilities
•    Working knowledge of labor contracts
•    Ability to use PC desktop applications including Microsoft Word & Excel

Work Environment

  • Able to lift 50-100 lbs. consistently
  • Able to work 10-15 hours daily as required
  • Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue and to effectively jump, sprint or throw an object
  • Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination
  • Ability and skill to demonstrate and train in the proper operation of gasoline and pneumatic powered equipment such as chainsaws, compactors, compressors, generators, jackhammers and other construction equipment.
  • Noise level is generally loud
  • Must be able to quickly move arms and legs
